  1. 1161–1170Zhongdu · Jin ZhongduRaised to power at Liaoyang in the Eastern Capital, changed the era name to Dading, entered Zhongdu, suppressed a Khitan uprising, and concluded the Longxing Peace with Song, beginning reforms of officialdom and restoration of production.
  2. 1171–1176Zhongdu · Jin ZhongduCreated the Jurchen jinshi examination and Jurchen National Academy, completed the Veritable Records of Emperor Ruizong, and dispatched armies north to attack various Mongol tribes, strengthening the northern frontier defense system.
  3. 1177–1180Along the lower Yellow River · Lower Yellow RiverThe Yellow River breached its banks in successive years; Shizong mobilized labor to build dikes and added river-defense officials. In 1180 he made new regulations for meng'an mou-ke official appointments and fiefs, and completed the Veritable Records of Emperor Xizong.
