  1. 1430–1453Edirne · Ottoman EmpireSuleiman completed medrese education following the Çandarlı family's scholarly tradition and rose to Kazasker during his father Halil Pasha's tenure as Grand Vizier, taking part in military judicial affairs and judge appointments, and serving as one of the ilmiye class's key representatives at court.
  2. 1453–1455İznik · Ottoman EmpireAfter his father was executed by Mehmed II on charges of colluding with the Byzantines and opposing the conquest of Constantinople, Suleiman was dismissed from the Kazasker post and the Çandarlı family's power was severely damaged. He lived in retirement in his later years and was buried in the family tomb at İznik.
