1380–1400Thăng Long · HanoiSon of Hồ Quý Ly, he grew up in Thăng Long during the late Later Trần and early Hồ period and was chosen by his father as heir.
1401–1407Thăng Long · HanoiIn 1401 he received the throne from his father, changing the era name to Thiên Thánh; nominally emperor of the Hồ dynasty, but military and political power remained with Hồ Quý Ly, and from 1406 he faced the Ming southern campaign.
