  2. 1292Trowulan · East JavaIn 1292 he launched a surprise attack while Kertanegara was performing a religious rite, assassinating him, proclaiming himself supreme ruler of Java, and purging the old Singhasari nobility.
  3. 1293Gambah · East JavaRaden Wijaya joined forces with the Yuan dynasty expeditionary army to counterattack; in the Battle of Gambah in 1293 Jayakatwang was defeated and killed, ending his brief rule and creating the conditions for the founding of Majapahit.
