This experience directly became the philosophical material for Kutadgu Bilig on the relations between king, ministers, and populace, reflecting the political culture of 11th-century Turkicized Islamic states in Central Asia.
- 1059–1060Kashgar · KashgarIn the late 1050s Yusuf began systematically writing Kutadgu Bilig in Kashgar, constructing a framework of discourse on justice, wisdom, and happiness in Uyghur rhymed verse. The work was dedicated to the sultan in 1069–1070, but its conception and writing preparations trace back to this period, an important testament to the cultural peak of the Karakhanid Khanate.
