Serbian and Albanian epics (Millosh Kopiliqi) later fixed the assassin as Miloš/Miloš Kopiliqi. There is still no decisive evidence for the assassin's ethnicity or whether he existed. Only in the 19th century did the Serbian Orthodox Church commonly list him as a saint.
