1. 1024Huazhou, Weizhou · HenanIn the second year of Tiansheng, the court sent envoys to Huazhou and Weizhou to inspect Yellow River conditions and survey levee strengths and weaknesses, in preparation for mobilizing laborers and funds to seal the breach.
2. 1025Huazhou Yellow River levee · HuaxianThe court mobilized laborers, imperial guards, and cash to build Yellow River levees and sa works. By the Tiansheng era, sa technology was mature, and dangerous levee sections were commonly protected with sa; from Mengzhou downstream to Dizhou there were forty-five sa works in all.
3. 1027Tiantai Sa · HuaxianOn bingshen of the tenth month of Tiansheng five, the Huazhou river breach was sealed; because it lay near the foot of Tiantai Mountain, it was named Tiantai Sa. Chancellor Wang Zeng led the officials in congratulating the emperor. In the twelfth month, the Yuchi Sa diversion channel was dredged to relieve floodwaters.
