  1. 1431Menglian · Pu'erMing Shi, vol. 313: Menglian and Mengding were both lands of Luchuan; the native chieftains were originally of equal standing and resented being subordinated to one another. Later Menglian was reassigned to Yunnan, and the two frequently feuded over mutual land raids. In Xuande year 6, Mengding's native prefect Han Yanfa reported the matter. The text does not name Menglian's chieftain as Dao Paihan, nor does it include details of a 'Yinshaluo border demarcation.'
  2. 1431Yunnan · YunnanThe Ming court ordered the Duke of Qian, Mu Sheng, to dispatch officials to pacify and instruct both sides, requiring each to return what it had seized and plundered. This entry in the Ming Shi does not record a separate August bingchen memorial from the Ministry of War, nor does it use the phrase 'the court was furious'; the text takes only the verifiable pacification order.
  3. 1431Yunnan · YunnanThe goal of the pacification was for both sides to return the lands they had seized and the plunder they had taken. The Ming Shi subsequently records the Luchuan incident of the Zhengtong era and the flight of Mengding's prefect Dao Lumeng, but these events fall outside the scope of this Xuande year 6 item.
