  1. 1411–1414Buda · BudaWhile Sigismund went to Nuremberg to stand for the imperial election and later prepared the council, Barbara governed in Buda as queen, handling noble disputes and financial affairs and maintaining stability in the Kingdom of Hungary.
  2. 1414–1420Constance · SwabiaAccompanying her husband to the Council of Constance, she participated as empress in court diplomacy and church political maneuvering; during and for several years after the council she served as a liaison between imperial and Hungarian interests and continued to act as regent in Buda from time to time.
