After the emir of Aleppo, Ilghazi, unified northern Syria, he launched sustained raids against the castle zone north of Antioch.
  2. 1123Harim · Principality of AntiochThe regent Bohemond led the Antiochene army in a joint siege of Harim with Baldwin II's forces, but was ambushed by Ilghazi. The regent was killed, the king of Jerusalem was captured, and the principality fell into a severe leadership vacuum.
  3. 1123–1126Antioch · Principality of AntiochBohemond II's mother Alice attempted to act as regent, clashing with the military noble Roger of Salerno over power. Roger effectively controlled the army and directed defense and counterattacks against Muslim forces, deepening internal division within the principality.
  4. 1119–1127Northern frontier of Antioch · Principality of AntiochFollowing the disastrous defeat at Azaz in 1119, the Principality of Antioch continued to lose northern castles throughout the 1120s.
