  1. 1301–1307Fez · Fez-MeknesFrom 1301 to 1307, Abu Thabit Amir, as eldest son and heir, assisted his father Sultan Abu Yaqub Yusuf with affairs in Fez and military matters, taking part in planning along the Andalusi frontier and preparing to inherit the sultanate.
  2. 1307–1308Fez · Fez-MeknesAfter his father's death in October 1307, Abu Thabit Amir succeeded as sultan, but ruled only about a year and died in 1308. His brother Abu al-Rabi Sulayman then acceded, and the Marinid dynasty continued to face turmoil on the Andalusi frontier and within the succession.
