  1. 1316–1320Soltaniyeh · Zanjan ProvinceAcceded in 1316 after the death of his father Öljaitü; because of his youth, Mongol commanders such as Choban and Persian bureaucrats jointly administered the government, with the court centered at Soltaniyeh.
  2. 1321–1330Tabriz · East Azerbaijan ProvinceGradually took personal control in the 1320s, maintaining control over Mesopotamia and the Anatolian frontier through Persianized administration, while exchanging envoys with the Mamluks, Byzantium, and the Golden Horde; the power structure was reorganized after Choban's death in 1327.
