1. 1021Weisong Hall, Linjiang Commandery government office · ZhangshuWang Yi was then judge of Linjiang Commandery, and Wang Anshi was born in the Weisong Hall of the yamen. The Wang family was registered in Linchuan, Fuzhou, but due to his father's official postings he was actually born in Linjiang. The Southern Song writer Wu Zeng's Nenggai Zhai Manlu records his birth on the 13th day of the 11th month, a xin-you year, at the chen hour—the most detailed surviving birth record.
