1301–1303Balıkesir · Sea of MarmaraAfter the decline of the Sultanate of Rum, Karasid Bey declared independence, made Balıkesir his capital, integrated the tribes of the Sea of Marmara's southern shore, and established an independent beylik.
1304–1310Bandırma · Sea of MarmaraThe Karasid Beylik seized important Sea of Marmara ports such as Bandırma, controlling maritime trade and the lifelines between Byzantine remnant strongholds, and its power grew steadily.
