Timeline
- 1301–1302Dobruja · Western Golden HordeBetween 1301 and 1302, Köchü, who had succeeded after Nogai was executed by Toqta in 1299, maintained a rival court in Dobruja and west of the Volga, standing opposed to the Sarai center controlled by Toqta. Relying on Nogai's old followers and trade and military resources along the Bulgarian and Byzantine frontiers, he attempted to restore the independence of the western units. In 1302 Toqta launched a decisive offensive; Köchü was defeated and killed, ending the dual khanship of the Golden Horde.
